Good Evening Parents and Boys,
Lots of stuff in this e-mail so read carefully. Tomorrow is our October pack meeting. This is the meeting where the boys will be receiving their awards from the past month or two. Please have the boys wear their Class A uniforms if they have them. I still have a couple of blue Class A shirts for any boy that needs them. One is a youth XL and the other a small. Just get with me at tomorrows meeting. Everyone needs to try and get there a little early so that we can start on time.
Next Saturday, we are scheduled to place flags at the Covington Cemetery. We will meet at the cemetery at 9:30 and hopefully start placement by 10:00. The flags are placed on the graves of military veterans in honor of Veterans Day. A reminder e-mail will go out later this week.
Webelos scouts and parents, the weekend of November 9-11 is the Webelos in the Woods campout. The cost is $12 per boy. This campout is only open to Webelos I’s and II’s and their families. I need a count of who plans to attend by the end of the Pack meeting tomorrow. The Webelos in the Woods campout meets the requirement of camping out with the Boy Scouts who will also be having their Fall Camporee that weekend.
November 17 our Bears will be hosting a bike rodeo. Our boys can come out and ride their bikes and earn the bicycling belt loop. Make plans to attend if you can. Another e-mail will go out when we get closer to the event.
December 1 is the Covington Christmas Parade. We have always had a float in the parade and this year is no different. We will announce float work days during the month of November.
Tomorrow we will start talking about Recharter. For those of you unfamiliar with Recharter, it is where the entire pack signs up for 2013. Next years Recharter fee will be the same as last year, $45. No boy will be dropped from the program because his parents cannot pay the Recharter fee. If the fee will be a problem for you, contact me so we can work things out.
For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, the Pack website is back up and running. I encourage all of you to go to the site www.Pack747.net and subscribe to the e-mail lists that apply to your boy. I will be shifting Pack e-mails to that address in the near future and if you don’t sign up, you will no longer get e-mails from the Pack.
As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
