I just wanted to let you know that awards have been submitted to Laura – the award lady? – for the Tiger Den, and we are all set for Monday. Any scout who has earned his Bobcat can expect to receive awards. I have also updated the DOB for the boys in my records, so that you can continue to track your scout online. Remember, all you have to do is go to http://www.pack747.net and click on Tiger Den. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page to find your scout’s name under the “Tiger Den Achievements” area. When you click on your scout’s name, you will be prompted for a password which is his full date of birth including the slashes, such as 01/01/2006. Let me know if you have any problems with this as it likely means that I don’t have the correct DOB for your scout.
As a reminder, please be sure to practice the Tiger Skit with your scout, so he is prepared for Monday’s Pack Meeting. I am not sure when we will be performing the skit, but if you can arrive a few minutes early, we could practice one more time as a group and this will also allow the boys time to get their orange Tiger shirts. I have ordered another six tiger den t-shirts ($6 each – please don’t forget to pay the Den fund back when you are able to if you received a shirt at the last meeting). I also ordered Julian’s shirt, and they should all arrive well before Monday. If you scout already has his blue Class A Uniform, I’d recommend that you bring it along. After the skit, he could simply put his Class A shirt over the orange Tiger den shirt for when he is on stage receiving his awards. If your scout doesn’t have the blue Class A Uniform yet, please don’t worry. You still have the entire month of November to purchase it before the next pack award meeting, and there are programs to help you financially with the purchase if you need it – see Mike, the CubMaster, for details. If you are not sure what to purchase in terms of the Class A Uniform, please see the pack website: http://www.pack747.net/about-cub-scouts/scout-uniforms/.
Again, here’s the skit that you should work on this week with your scout:
All boys chant 3X: “We are the Tigers! We are the Tigers! We are the Tigers!”
Den Leader (or parent) follows up with: “What do Tigers do?”
All boys respond: “We ROAR!”
Den Leader (or parent) follows up with: “What does it mean to ROAR?”
All boys respond with:
R – is for really loud.
O – is for open wide.
A – is for all of us.
R – is for ROAR!
All the boys finish by giving a Tiger Cub roar.
See everyone at the Pack Meeting!
